Scotland
2001-2002-2003
We love Scotland, it is great for bikers and
biking and there always loads of bikes around. The traffic can be busy on
the main routes, but most folk make room for you to pass.
June 2001 we stayed
mainly in the north of Scotland, and spent the summer solstice on the Orkney Isles.
2002 we did a
large loop of the Highlands, Forres, Tain, Talmine, Ullapool, and dropped
down to Loch Ness.
2003 Based in
Kinlochewe, we did Applecross ,numerous others and met up with some good
travelling friends Paul and Margaret.
Talmine, The Highlands 2002
Loch Maree 2003
The Orkney Isles 2001
France 2000-2002
The last Bol'd'Or (World
bike endurance race) we did was in 1992. 2000 was a week in Frejus, and 2002
was two weeks in a large bastide ( a large strong house) in Flayosc, both in
Provence, South of France, on the Mediterranean Sea Coast.

Oh such a quiet place.
Great roads, and even better vineyards.
The Alps and Wine Tour 2004
Aug-Sept we were in
the Alps, doing the Black Forest, Eiffel region, Switzerland, Austria, Italy
and Germany. The first week was doing a load of Alpine passes, second week
we chilled out in the Mosel Valley.
